The Promise

A vow made by a boy to a a beautiful girl whom he truly loves.

As we slowly approach
Our destiny
I will be there standing
By your side.

As we journey
To the world
Of lies and fears
Of trials and errors
Of smiles and tears
I’ll always stay.

If ever you see me fall
Or see me cry
Believe me, you will
See me stand up smiling and saying…

No matter what happens,
No matter what problems,
The one you could rely
Will never let
You down

I Promise…

    Simple promises but when taken to heart could lead to forever. The poem draw forth so much youthful love. There are but a few young ones today who take their promises into action. My say: "Just walk the talk, will yuh?" LOL!

    At first when I see the link on the thread, i thought it was a commentary on a movie I see a long time ago, with the same title as your post. But its a poem about a vow given to her true love. Hope that they live happy for the rest of their lives and love each other
