What if God Had not loved THE WORLD?
For God so loved the world.
Without his love there would be no hope at all. Our earth will be a dark planet hurtling thorough space without hope. Nothing to live for and no purpose for existence. Every death would be the end of personal hope, and every grave a place of despair. A world where prayers were but useless cries to the skies.
But God does love the world
Everything speaks of his love. Every sunrise, every blade of grass. Every fountain of water, every birth, the face of every child. The greatest demonstration of his love is the cross.
What if God had NOT GIVEN his son?
“that he gave is only begotten son”
God’s love would be frustrated without the cross. A real love demands loving. A man marries then works, provides, cares and a woman marries and gives of herself for her family. God has given His child and apart from this there would be no salvation.
What if God’s offer to salvation were not to the “whosoever”?
The wonderful word that is general yet particular. It embraces all and yet touches each one. It reaches out to you. Suppose God had offered salvation only to the rich? Suppose God had only offered salvation to the healthy or educated, but God calls all people, individually to trust him.
What if God’s offer were not based on faith alone”
Believeth
Picture men working, trying, dying. Picture men earning, failing. Consider the dying thief.. And the offer to dying men.
But John 3:16 is true
You can be saved by faith in Christ
What a message to take to the world.
Your blog post title shocked me. But when I read your post, I realized that you only wanted to prove that the verse is, indeed, true.

Hmm.. I guess people won't have someone to hold on to when everybody turns their back on them. Having faith is very important.

ReplyDeleteit john 3:16 is not true, this world is way too chaotic than now, however God do excess and so we tried this world to be a better place in spite of those who contradict of peaceful earth

ReplyDeleteI believe in God...the father Almighty...each time I ponder on HIS love for us, I am brought to tears realizing how great HIS love is....dying on the cross to redeem our sins...what greater LOVE is there? I admit there are some verse that I sometimes don't understand but I believe and have faith in every word and so John 3:16 is true.

Gods love is unquestionable who works in ways we cannot see and He has the reason for everything that is happening around and to us. Keep the faith.

I believe that God really do loves the world, imagine - we encounter difficulties in in life and we perceived it to fear, fear of not being loved and eventually we all leads it to hatred. When we just take a look at it in a positive way - God created this world to show us how life is precious and he alone gifted that to us. that we do our daily work but by the end of the day, we look up to him and said - thank God because if not because of this difficulties - we might not feel how precious ones life is.

ReplyDeletethanks for this post. everybody need hope, but as what is going on right now, i knew some people have lose hope already like the end of the world is coming and they just let the devil rule them because there is no hope already. as for me, i still believe that things will get better by choosing the right person to lead us, who has a strong Faith. but i guess.. people choose the person who promised them this and that... which made me feel really sad, because they only think about themselves, and not this country and the future of our kids. =( just ranting.. hehehe =D out of topic ba ako? lol or cant get head or tails to what im talking about. lol!
