No Worries

The future- not to be feared.

photo: Pakoy

Ice cream every Sunday,
warm kisses each night.
A happy life,
and still a vacant heart.

The job that you wanted,
leisure you aspire.
Some contentment,
and yet, for more you search.

The triumph with your dreams,
with the ones you love,
Heaven’s reward,
and yes! You crave for more!

A man of this world,
no such greed in your heart.
Alas horror,
for the future’s worst face!

You neglect your present,
for tomorrow’s gloom.
Never to fear,
God is in the future.

  1. love your poem Donald, I believe in one way or the other we may have been in that stage of searching for more :) but contentment eventually comes in our life, some maybe later than it happens to others.

  15. I guess it's true for most of us. We sometimes tend to forget the present because we are busy taking care of the future. What we really should do is take care of the present, enjoy it and be thankful for it.

  16. God has always been our mighty provider so we don't have to fret about the future. But sadly, a lot of people have become too greedy; wanting for more and more. That's the horror about life, LOL!

  19. We live in an imperfect world. The truth is... we can never have everything that we wanted in life. It's human nature to aspire for more but GOD will always give us what we need.
