A cross caught the attention of a sinner that eventually was changed to a free man.
I took joy in living a fruitless life
Never shaken by shame or fear
Until something struck my sight
Putting an end to my stormy career.
I saw a Man nailed on a rugged cross
Bathe in blood, His face in pain
Telling me, He did it for the lost
His Father’s love them to gain.
He fixed his eyes on me and said,
Son, thou art forgiven
My blood is for your ransom paid
My life I give that thou may enter heaven.
With His death my salvation rests
My sins all were wipe out
God is full of grace
From hell’s damnation, He took me out!
