After The Rain

Clear, fresh perception.

No rainbow above to be seen,
but, a clear heaven.
Thick and gloomy mists have turned thin,
while mind is relieved of burden.

The dark sky has poured out its pain,
Now serenity –
it fills your heart as hope remains.
You reach out with keen certainty.

The cold weather has subsided,
hence, warmth creeps within.
Frost inside the soul has melted,
and happiness is felt again.

  7. I used to be writing some free verses before before I started blogging. In fact that was my motivation to start writing in a more general way and from then on, my fingers are still tinkering the keyboards. Very hear warming indeed.

  11. I always believe that the sun shines after the rain and the storm. The cold months may be here now, but the love, hugs and kisses of my little ones will keep me warm all throughout the cold days. Nice poem papaleng! I know that there is always hope.

  19. Kuya, this is very nice. You really have the knack for poetry. I think you should really consider writing a compilation of your poems and sell them so you can earn from your passion.

  32. BRavooo! Poetry with so much depth!

I remember 98 Degrees Song called "It's All Because of You" while reading the poem, Papaleng. It goes like this:

"You're my sunshine after the rain
You're the cure against my fear and my pain
'Cause I'm losing my mind when you're not around
It's all (It's all) It's all because of you"

Oh diba! Hopeless romantic ang peg! Hahahaha!
