Simply a Wish

photo: Stephanie

I wish I were a cherry blossom
On your garden in full bloom
I know you’ll pick me up soon
And carry me to your bed room.

You then go on a nap
And I watching from a pot
And while you dreamt I’m a flower, in a snap
You’d find out that I’m not.

  1. I am sure this is a hopeful suitor to the one he is courting. Am I right?

  2. Sounds a lot like young love! It's sweet and very straight to the point.

  3. Love the last paragraph, they do rhyme. Nice to definitely know someone who is as good as a flower.

  4. Some wives can relate to the poem. At the start of the courtship period, she is the most beautiful woman in her man's eyes. After years of marriage, however, she doesn't seem to be what she used to be in the eyes of the man she loves. For wives to be happy, husbands should love them and continue to treat them as queens in their own homes.
