My Lonely Heart

As pain slowly pierces your heart, will you still find the strength to save a relationship?

Ahead lies an empty road to journey
Each light that adorns the streets are gloomy
The fading moon is the only ally
Who lits my way a light
But then still… I seek my way to find you.

My soul …now wasted and tired
With all the battles we’ve been through
You and I … hoping for something good to happen.
Tears flowing … as pain slowly, steadily pierces my heart to death
The sound of silence … rips my heart apart…killing me…

My mind …reflecting and expecting for something
You alone can answer
Will you ever be with me again?
Because I’ve completely lost everything
By the time you left and say goodbye …

    Breakups are never easy but like they say - what can't kill you can make you stronger - so don't close your doors, unless you get to meet someone better, choz! :) :D

    reading your ode, i remember a favorite song of mine - something like, "are you gonna stay with the one who loves you or are you going back to the one you love". somebody's staying or somebody's leaving -parties affected may get to be happy or be sad. however, one thing should be exulting -the experience of falling in love.

    Naka-relate po ako dito at some point. Then again, it's through failed relationships that eventually lead you to the right one. :) Goodbyes are meant to be said, so that a new "hello" can also be welcomed. :) Nicely written poem by the way. :)

    "Because I've completely lost everything." I always hear this from my friends who have ended their relationships with the ones they love. Saying goodbye may be hard but sometimes it's the best thing to do. The lonely heart will soon find the right one.
